Semi guided hunts in Bear Zone 2, out of ladder stands and ground blinds. The Outlaw has been running them since 2005.
Season opens September 9. Archery hunts from $2,500. Two RV pads at camp, so two rigs at a time.

- No harvest quota. Zone 1 closes early when its quota is reached. Zone 2 carries none, so the season runs its published dates.

The hunt
We put you where the bears are, then we leave you to it
These are semi guided hunts. The Outlaw and his guides run the bait, find where the bears are working, and put you in a ladder stand or a ground blind on the one that is producing. Then we leave you to it. Nobody sits behind you narrating the woods.
This is the Ouachita Mountain country around Lake Ouachita. Steep, thick, and full of bear. Our hunters have taken bears from 150 pounds to 600, and color phases are not uncommon, so a cinnamon or a chocolate bear is a real possibility rather than a story.
2026 season, Bear Zone 2
Archery opens September 9
Arkansas Game and Fish Commission dates for Bear Zone 2, the 2026 to 2027 season. Zone 2 carries no harvest quota. Statewide bag limit is one bear, either sex, by any method.

The camp
Two RV pads, a kitchenette and a hot shower
Lodging is part of the hunt. Two RV pads, so we take two rigs at a time, with a kitchenette and a hot shower at camp.
Meals are not included, because we get so busy that cooking is almost impossible. Bring your own food and the kitchenette is yours.
When a bear comes in, the work starts. Getting it out of the woods, skinning it, and getting it cold is the part that takes experience.
